That's not what's going on here. The courts are standing up for the law. The President is trying to use the congress as a weapon to ensure the courts cannot force him to follow the law. It's tyranny and we must not accept it.

This is one of the most terrifying possibilities. The idea that Congress itself could be used as a weapon against the courts on behalf of the President. Absolute insanity and a complete betrayal of what the checks and balances are supposed to be about.

The problem isn't that autocracies are better or that they win. The problem is specifically the democracy in the U.S, which is fucked because of ignorant/lazy population and greedy corrupt politicians.

I hate to bring this up, but this tale really demonstrates the ridiculousness of how we keep electing these ancient people. This man never should have been put in office. He was too old.

To be honest, reddit has been awful for a long time. In the past it was just that they would ban you for speaking out against bigots, now it's just being awful for everyone else too.
